Food not bombs las cruces origin story

Food Not Bombs Las Cruces (FNB LC) is an organized protest against war, violence, and poverty. We believe food insecurity is a symptom of a larger system of exploitation and profit over people.
We cook mainly vegetarian and vegan meals; you can find us every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 4-6 pm MT at Young Park (850 S Walnut St, Las Cruces, NM). FNB LC rejects the idea that hunger is caused by scarcity–the resources exist, and we are here to redistribute them, and we receive many of our ingredients through donations from community members, food banks/pantries, and local growers/farmers. Our goal is to feed and educate our communities through a system of mutual aid and FNB LC is one of many FNB chapters growing across the globe.
